GB Jewellers was established in 1983 under the direction of George Busuttil together with his wife Joan Josette Busuttil. They established themselves in a small shop in Birkirkara where they then extended their practices by enlarging the shop. Together they then also ventured into the development of a new shop 2 doors away. In 2009 a new branch in the locality of Gzira The Strand was opened. In 2015 GB Jewellers also took over the running of the shop under the name of Micallef Watch Dealer in Valletta. This step took the business to a different level also offering an even bigger focus on various watch brands and watch repairs. In 2017 works began to expand and grow the Birkirkara location giving it a modern and vibrant look together with a new logo and rebranding.
GB Jewellers is a 3rd generation development of the Busuttil family in the jewellery business which started around the 1950s. Therefore we can say that our reputation has developed into a solid name with our clients.
George Busuttil himself is not only a trader in the industry as he also studied the manufacturing procedures of gold. This gave him the necessary knowledge he needed to not only be a seller but also a comprehensive person with the right knowledge to serve the needs of his clients.
The family legacy continues into its 3rd generation with his daughter Elaine P., who works to further develop and grow the family business also being a qualified Diamond Grader by IGI from Antwerp.
As GB Jewellers we do not only cater for your jewellery needs but one can find an array of products be it watches, giftware, home decoration and others. Our product portfolio includes jewellery in gold, silver and steel with a vast range of designs varying from classic to fashion pieces. We also deal in diamonds and pearls, which can be made to order as customised jewellery, or one can choose from the range of ready made mounted jewellery.
